Building governance capability across RTOs
CAQA has supported hundreds of RTO directors and leaders through governance training. This includes people new to operating an RTO and experienced leaders who need to review their approach as their organisation or obligations change.
Programs combine published requirements with practical examples from consulting engagements. Sessions are tailored to the provider’s size, structure, delivery model and the responsibilities of the people attending.
What the training covers

- Oversight of training, assessment, validation and continuous improvement.
- Trainer and assessor capability, currency, supervision and workforce records.

Turning learning into management practice
Participants work through examples such as incomplete trainer files, weak assessment review, unclear responsibilities and reactive compliance management. The aim is to help leaders ask the right questions, recognise emerging risks and follow through on improvement actions.
CAQA provides education and advisory support. It does not appoint or approve directors, determine fitness and propriety on behalf of a regulator, or guarantee a regulatory outcome. Governance responsibilities remain with the provider and its leadership.
