The challenge
An RTO engaged CAQA to embed Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital support across all qualifications on its scope. The provider wanted to identify learner needs early and provide appropriate support during training and assessment.
What we did
The Standards for RTOs 2025 require providers to review prospective students’ skills and competencies before enrolment, including language, literacy, numeracy and digital literacy, and to provide advice about suitability. They also require access to training support, reasonable adjustment where appropriate, inclusive learning environments and wellbeing support. CAQA provided an LLND kit that the provider customised to its cohort, qualifications and delivery mode. The kit supported early identification of learner needs, digital capability checks, support planning, reasonable adjustment records, referral processes and evidence collection.
