The challenge
An organisation seeking to become a higher education provider engaged CAQA to support its application.
What we did
The provider needed to understand the application requirements, supporting documentation, quality assurance arrangements and frameworks expected of a higher education provider. CAQA drew on experience across universities, TAFEs, higher education providers and vocational education organisations. Higher education provider registration requires a substantial institutional evidence base. The higher education regulator confirms that applications must be made through the approved online application form, include all requested information, and that initial registration applications in the Institute of Higher Education category must be accompanied by an application for accreditation of at least one course of study. Guidance also confirms that a self-assurance report is an opportunity for a provider to articulate and evidence the effectiveness of its self-assurance systems in relation to its operational context and course accreditation application.
