Questions
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between validation and moderation?
Validation is a quality review of assessment tools, evidence and judgements against the principles of assessment and rules of evidence, whose outcome is recommendations for improvement. Moderation is a quality control process that brings assessor judgements into alignment before results are finalised.
Who can validate?
People not directly involved in delivering and assessing the product, who collectively hold a current training and assessment credential, vocational competency and current industry skills, and current knowledge of vocational teaching and learning. Industry experts may join to complete that mix.
