CAQA has a long history of helping new training organisations get off the ground and ensure they comply with regulatory standards. Our case study will explore one example where CAQA successfully helped a new training organisation launch with minimal stress and cost.

The training organisation in question was looking to provide high quality vocational education and training (VET) that fulfilled the requirements set out by the relevant regulatory bodies. Before approaching CAQA, the organisation had already completed steps such as setting up their business structure, establishing policies and procedures, and finding suitable premises for their courses.

However, they lacked any experience in meeting government regulations for RTOs. With these regulations constantly evolving and becoming more complex every year, this was a daunting challenge for any inexperienced provider.

This is where CAQA came in. We worked closely with the provider over several months to help them meet all regulatory standards required for registration as an RTO. This included components such as creating systems for managing student complaints and appeals, reviewing training and assessment materials, evaluating trainer files, review of pre-enrolment and marketing practices and systems, building quality assurance frameworks, reviewing financial records, establishing governance arrangements and much more.

Throughout this process we provided expert advice on best practices while keeping our client informed of any changes or new developments in the education and training sector. We also offered support through webinars, online seminars and personalised coaching sessions focusing on areas such as business planning or compliance management that were important factors in achieving success.

Thanks to our comprehensive assistance, the provider eventually achieved registration with both ASQA within 12 months of engaging our services.

The success story does not end there though; after just six months of operation their student numbers had grown significantly due to CAQA’s guidance and knowledge of effective promotional techniques and compliance frameworks. This enabled them to expand their programs quickly without needing to worry about meeting compliance regulations which allowed them greater freedom when it came to making decisions that would benefit their students’ learning experiences.
